Over 100 Years Experience in Conservation
Established in 1919, Manhattan-based Center Art Studio is a full-service fine-art conservation practice that works around the globe with insurers, institutions, corporations, and private collectors.
By combining the latest technology with the highest standard of care, our team of conservators and advisors provide: conservation and restoration treatments, disaster response, archival framing, custom display design, installation, collection assessment and curatorial consultation.
We’ve conserved works by such notables as Picasso, Kusama, Miro, Lichtenstein, Carrington, Bonnard, Vuillard, Sully, and Moran. Our studio has been featured in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Martha Stewart Living, Colonial Homes and Art Insider.
Director Lansing Moore is the third owner of the firm. He apprenticed under the firm’s second owner, Fritz Pohl, who apprenticed under the founder, Shigeo Nakagawa.
